Mark and I were hanging out at the Charlotte Addy Awards and he mentioned this guy, Mike, who ran this cool local beer and wine shop called Brawley's. He mentioned that he was going to do a poster for him and asked if I'd be interested in working on the project. A couple weeks later Mark and I have a cup of coffee and come up with half a dozen awesome concepts, all with the top level message, "There's always more at Brawley's". Which is true because there's beer stacked all the way up to the ceiling. I went ahead and mocked them up. Mike loved them all and gave us the go ahead. Mike is a rare kind of guy. He gets it and loves to do stuff that is thought provoking and eye catching. It's very rare to call a client your friend, but he is because everyone he encounters immediately loves the guy. That might be why he's doing so well. Mark and I had a blast working together and by the end of it he hired me, thanks Mike and Mark.
